WHY CHOOSE US?
Players moving up from Little League in the Kirkland/Redmond area have options when choosing the next step in their baseball careers. Here's why we think Pony Baseball with KBC is your best bet:
BETTER FIELDS: You will play the majority of your games at beautiful Lee Johnson Field at Peter Kirk Park, a field that is the envy of baseball teams around Puget Sound. Playing under the lights on a spring evening is a thrill, and a delight for parents and friends.
SMALLER DIAMOND: You will play on diamonds with 80-foot bases, which makes for an easier transition from Little League and a much more enjoyable experience.
MORE GAMES: You will play 25 or more regular season games, followed by the city championship tournament, plus opportunities to play in Memorial Day and Fourth of July tournaments as well as All-Star tournaments.
LOCAL TIES: You will play with and against friends from Kirkland and Redmond, but also have the opportunity to see how you measure up against teams from other communities.
LESS TRAVEL: Your road games will be against teams from nearby communities like Bothell, Bellevue and Mountlake Terrace; no long trips to far-flung fields.
NO FUNDRAISING: You won't be asked to sell candy or magazines or the like. All we ask is that families patronize the PK Cafe, the Peter Kirk Park concession stand, a major source of the league's revenue. But that's hardly a hardship — you can't beat the famous PK Burger.
Next meeting: Thursday, Jan. 15, 7 p.m., Rose Hill Fire Station. The board's regular meetings are on the third Thursday of the month, 7 p.m., at the fire station.
