KBC teams will have a chance to warm up for the regular season at our annual jamboree, scheduled for this Saturday, March 13.
This annual affair is always a lot of fun, as teams play three-innning games at beautiful Lee Johnson Field at Peter Kirk Park. Our concession stand, the PK Cafe, will be open, serving up its famous PK Burgers and Dogs along with snacks and both cold and hot drinks (depending on our fickle weather).
Here's the updated schedule. In case of rain we'll try again with the same schedule on Sunday.
| SATURDAY, MARCH 13 | ||
| 10 a.m. | Shinstrom Norman | Lee Johnson Mazda |
| Noon | Lux | Risan |
| 2 p.m. | AWR | Burgermaster |
| 4 p.m. | Kirkland Fire | Lee Johnson Olympic |
| 6 p.m. | NWAG | Kirkland Fire |
As most of you know, construction of the new downtown transit center is causing disruption around Peter Kirk Park. Third Street is now one-way northbound. Parking is still available in the library garage. However, the door closest to Lee Johnson Field is closed off, so to get to the field you'll want to exit to the east side of the garage (closest to the pool). The park restrooms are closed, but there are portable toilets available.
The ongoing construction will have an effect on the concession stand. Occasional lack of power and water, as well as difficulty in getting products delivered, will at times limit what we can do. We appreciate your understanding and hope that you will continue to support this vital source of revenue to our program.
